Oconee County deputies used K-9s in a late night search for a man the Sheriff's Office says crashed a vehicle near the Oconee Connector at the intersection of Daniels Bridge and Mars Hill roads and fled the scene on foot.

A deputy had attempted to stop the man for speeding, according to a Nixle alert sent just before midnight on Saturday.
