Recent UGA Employee Arrested for Sexual Exploitation of Children

The information in this story comes from the ACC Police Department. An arrest isn't the same as a conviction.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation provided information to the Athens-Clarke County Police Department through the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

After an initial investigation by ACCPD and the University of Georgia Police Department, a search warrant was executed at 192 Wendy Lane around 7:30am on November 26, 2013.

Computers and cell phones were seized and analyzed. As a result of this investigation, Jeffrey Wall Delk, 51, who lives on Wendy Lane, was arrested and charged with 43 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child. The investigation continues and additional charges are possible.

According to a UGA directory, Delk is listed as assistant director of development. He has resigned his position.Β
