Scam Alert

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department issue warrant after scam complaint.

Last week, Barrow Patch reported that , 45, on theft charges after several people came forward alleging he flagged them down in their cars and told them they needed emergency work done.  Then, they allege he took thousands of dollars from them without doing any work.

According to Barrow Patch, investigators said Quick would pull up behind an elderly woman and flash his lights, honk his horn or even yell to get their attention and point to the axle on their car, insisting it was coming off and that he could fix it quickly.

This week ACCPD detectives signed warrants on Quick after a similar complaint was filed in our jurisdiction.
