Man Charged With Manslaughter in Tivoli Apartments Murder

The information in this story comes from the ACC Police Department. An arrest isn't the same as a conviction.

At approximately 8:25 PM this evening, Athens-Clarke County Police and Clarke County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a North Billups Street address based on information received from the public regarding the location of Santonio Hall. Officers made contact with residents of the home and took Santonio Hall into custody without incident.

Hall will be charged with manslaughter, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and criminal attempt to conduct an unlawful drug transaction.

These charges result from the ongoing investigation concerning the homicide of David Mack Collins that occurred on July 7th at the Tivoli Apartments in Athens. Santonio Hall is currently housed at the Clarke County Jail.

Authorities want to thank the public for their assistance in this investigation and apprehension of both Santonio Hall and Anthony Coleman, who was arrested on Friday afternoon.
