Son Breaks Into Mother's Home and Her Husband Clobbers Him

Around 9:45pm on June 4, Athens Clarke County police officers responded to a burglary in progress at a Hwy 29 North residence.
A woman told police that her son broke into the residence and attacked her husband. As officers arrived, a young man, later identified as the woman's son, stumbled out of the yard with a wound to his head.

An investigation revealed that after the son entered the home, there was an altercation between the son and the husband. The injured son was taken to Athens Regional for medical treatment, and the slightly injured husband was treated at the scene.
The investigation continues.
