Suspect William Wilson Heaton Granted Bond in Hit-and-Run Case in Athens, Ga.

As part of his bond, he must find a place to live in either Clarke or Oconee county.

 

A Clarke County Magistrate Judge granted a $50,000 bond for accused hit-and-run driver William Wilson Heaton.

According to a story in the Athens Banner Herald, Magistrate Court Associate Judge Benjamin Makin ordered the 22-year-old Heaton to wear an ankle bracelet, refrain from alcohol and find a place to live in Athens or Oconee County so a probation officer can adequately supervise him.

On Wednesday, Heaton was charged with having caused the collision that critically injured 19-year-old Emily Bowman, a Kennesaw University student.
