Three Suspects Plead Not Guilty To Killing Elderly Man in Home

Last November, 76-year-old Edward Davidson was shot and killed in his Jefferson River Road home one night. His wife and he had heard a noise and he had gone to investigate.

Two adults and a teenager were arrested as suspects in the killing. They are Anthony Jermaine Fuller, 17; Justin Oneal Baughns, 22; and, Dwayne Tavares Myers, 30, a convicted felon.

The trio face numerious charges, including malice and felony murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. They are also charged with buglary in other incidents.

According to a story in the Athens Banner Herald, the three pleaded not guilty to the murder charges and others during a recent arraignment before Judge David Sweat. Law enforcement officials linked the three to burglaries they believe started on Nov. 23. The trio supposedly hit homes on Rustwood, Sleepy Creek and Fair Oaks drives; Vaughn and Old Monroe roads; South Milledge Avenue; Cardinal Creek Place; and Pepperidge Lane.

The story says that Baughns was the getaway driver while Myers and Fuller actually went into the Davidson house. All three are charged with murder but no one is identified as the shooter.
