Update: Missing Women Found

Two 70-somethings reported missing on Tuesday have been found.

Athens-Clarke County Police report that two older white women who were reported missing have been found. They left Athens on a trip Tuesday morning, but never arrived at their Toombs County destination.

Said to be missing were Opal McCannon, 78, who's 5-8, 200 pounds, with brown eyes and short, dark brown hair, and Phyllis Rogers, 72 who's 5-3, 200 pounds, with brown eyes and short gray hair.

They were driving a red, 2008 Kia Optima LX. The Georgia car tag is 981ZMK.

The two women were seen Tuesday morning in the 2800 block of Barnett Shoals Road. They were found Wednesday night and are fine,  according to police.
