Man Arrested in Sexual Assault Case
The alleged incident happened two weeks ago, on July 17.
On July 17, Harold Beal Garner, 24, was at a Barber Street business and a 23-year-old woman whom he knew was also there. He is accused of touching her inappropriately, exposing himself and blocking her from getting to her car, according to an Athens Banner Herald story.
He has been charged with the misdemeanors of sexual battery and public indecency as well as with felony false imprisonment, the story says. The story also says Garner is a UGA employee.
The police didn't share details of the case, the story says. They wouldn't say where the alleged incident occurred of what Garner supposedly did to support the charge of sexual battery.
