Woman Ends Relationship, Man Slashes Tires

An Athens Tech student is alleged to have slashed his former girlfriend's car tires.

Athens-Clarke police have issued a lookout for an 18-year-old Athens Technical College student. According to a story in the Athens Banner Herald, the man was seen slashing the tires on a car that belongs to his former girlfriend, a police report says.

A 30-year-old student told the police she had been sitting in her when she saw the teenager slash the tires around 12:50 p.m., the story says. The student said she got out of her car and shouted at the man. He drove off in a white SUV bearing a Madison County tag.

When the car owner arrived, she said she had stopped seeing the suspect because he had anger issues, according to the story. The previous night, she had spoken to the man’s ex-friend about those same issues.
