Woman Jogger Reports Man Stopped Car in Front of Her, Then Exposed Himself

The incident reportedly happened at the intersection of Franklin and Hill streets.

An Athens woman on an evening jog on got an eyeful on Franklin Street March 19.

According to Athens-Clarke Police, the woman, 33, was running on Hill Street around 7:30 p.m. when a black four-door vehicle stopped in front of her at the intersection with Franklin Street.

“The driver called out to her to get her attention,” police said in a media release. “He raised his body up while still in the driver’s seat so she could see him. She then realized he was exposing himself.”

The woman said he went home and called police; the man did not follow her.

He is described as having dark complexion and possibly with an accent. Police say the woman believed he may be African.
