Kessler's anti-government sentiment must have touched a chord.
Carter Kessler has defeated Christopher Perlera to become the Republican candidate in the race for the 118th House District. He faces Democrat Spencer Frye in November.
Both Kessler and Perlera are young men, with very different personalities. During various political forums, , criticizing government involvement in many areas of life, including education, healthcare and economic development. Kessler said he believes individual responsibility should be a driving force, not government.
