Community Forum, Economic Security

Frustrated with the state of current affairs as we get deeper into election season? If so, come out and make your voice heard. This fall, the Russell Forum for Civic Life in Georgia, the primary outreach program of the Richard B. Russell Library for Political Research and Studies, will host a series of community forums focused on some of the most pressing issues facing voters in the 2012 election season: national security, the economy, and immigration.

The second forum in the series, Economic Security: How Should We Take Charge of Our Future? takes place on Tuesday, September 18th, 2012, from 5:30-7:30PM.

This forum will discuss key factors that have led to economic stagnation and recession, and explore ways to initiate changes in our current system. Participants will deliberate on the issues, weigh the benefits and tradeoffs of various approaches, and explore possible solutions using the National Issues Forums model.

This event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 5:30PM for light refreshments. Forums will take place in Room 285 of the new Richard B. Russell Building for Special Collections Libraries located at 300 S. Hull Street.
