Hey, Athens, Go Climb A Tree

But do it with ropes, harnesses and supervision.

Go climb a tree. All you need is a reservation.

Athens Clarke County is staging a guided tree climbing in Bishop Park on November 5 as part of the 2011 Tree Fair. Anyone age six to 82 is eligible to take to the air in one of the park’s mature oaks. The cost for the climb is $15 per person, or $25 for two climbers in the same family.

The 20-year-old company Dancing with Trees will help guide people into the tree tops. Dancing with Trees specializes in recreational tree climbing.
