Learn at Lunch How to Avoid Being a Victim of a Crime

There are three sessions on personal safety.

The Athens-Clarke County Library kicks off a new three-part Lunchtime Learning @Your Library series focused on personal safety and crime prevention, on Thursday, September 26, at 12:15 p.m.

A representative from the Athens-Clarke County Police’s Crime Prevention Unit will be at the library to lead a discussion and give tips on how to take responsibility for personal safety and avoid being a victim of crime. This month’s program will be followed by sessions focused on self-defense techniques and cyber safety in October and November.

This event is free and open to the public and will be held in Multipurpose Room B. Beverages will be provided and participants are invited to bring a sack lunch.
