Regina Quick Names Campaign Manager

The Athens resident is taking on Doug McKillip in the Republican primary.

Athens Attorney Regina Quick, who's challenging incumbent Rep. Doug McKillip in the Republican primary, has named her campaign team. The two are trying to win the Republican nomination in the newly configured 117th House District, which includes parts of Clarke, Oconee, Jackson and Barrow counties.

Hoke Wilder will serve as the chairman of Quick's campaign committee. He is a retired colonel who served as a compliance officer with the UGA Athletic Department. Hoke Wilder and his wife Margaret "Mickey" Wilder live off Jennings Mill Road in the new district. Mickey Wilder is a CPA with offices in Resource Valley in Oconee County.

Angela Meltzer, an Athens CPA, will serve as the campaign treasurer.

Quick will formally launch the campaign next week, in Five Points, she said.

A native of Cullman, Alabama, she was graduated from Auburn University in 1984 with highest honors, earning a B.S. in public administration. In 1987, she earned a J.D. from the UGA School of Law.
