Water, Sewer and Drainage-Oh, My! East Clayton, Jackson, Getting Makeover

Thursday's open house will gather the community's ideas and thoughts on the downtown improvement project.

Say you want planters downtown on East Clayton Street. Or more benches. Maybe you don't want any parking meters on Jackson.

Whatever your desires for Jackson, East Clayton and Wall streets, you can come share them at an Open House in the Dougherty Street government building on Thursday, from 5:30 to 7pm.

Those streets are slated for improvements in water main, drainage, streetscaping, sidewalks and sewer, courtesy of the county's SPLOST program. The open house will allow you to comment on specific parts of the plans.

Derek Doster, SPLOST Program Management Office, will be on hand should you have any questions.
