Will The Library Blow Out 100 Candles on its Cake?

Puppets, a petting zoo, games and cake will mark the Athens Clarke County Library's 100th birthday on April 6.

The Friends of the Athens-Clarke County Library invites the community to Family Fun Day and the Library’s 100th Birthday Celebration on Saturday, April 6. 

Festivities begin at 10:00 a.m. and culminate at 12:00 p.m. when puppeteer extraordinaire David Stephens of All Hands Productions will present his original production of The Adventures of the Gingerbread Man.

A host of fun activities are planned for families of all shapes and sizes! There will be arts and crafts projects, naturalists from Sandy Creek Nature Center, and a Junior Safari Petting Zoo. Other fun outdoor activities include bubble making, sidewalk chalk and hula hoops.

And it wouldn’t be a birthday party without cake! Mark your calendars and bring your kids out to this jam-packed celebration that is fun for the whole family!
