Readers' Choice: Best Florist

Who do you call or visit when you want flowers in Athens, Ga.?

Of course, there are those who plant a cutting garden and who spend the summer making lovely arrangements from their own yards. And then there's the rest of us, who use others to satisfy our need for flowers.

Where do you go for flowers, or floral arrangements? We have several places in Athens from which to choose, including:

Help your favorite florist win the "Readers' Choice" title by voting in our poll or rating the business. Here's how it works:

Shops will be ranked from first to third place based on number of poll votes, receiving 10 points for first, 8 for second and 6 for third. Readers may also rate a florist in the Athens Patch Directory (ratings are based on a 5-star scale, and you must be a registered user in order to rate a business). Businesses will be ranked from first to third place, with the highest rating receving 10 points, the second best rating receiving 8 points, and the third best receiving 6 points.

After the voting period, we'll add up the total points for the top three florists in poll votes and directory ratings, and the florist with the highest point total will be declared the Readers' Choice. If there's a tie, the business with the highest total number of positive reviews on its directory listing and positive comments on our weekly Readers' Choice article will be declared the winner.

Polls close at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 27. The winner will be announced at noon.

Help! I voted, and it seemed to take, but then I went back to review the tally, which is showing only one vote cast and my vote is missing, and now it won't let me enter a vote.

I just went back a third time, and now my vote SEEMS to be showing up.

Well, thank goodness for that! You just may make the difference. Always.
