Who says girls can't shred the guitar? Dubbed by Rolling Stone as one of the "New Guitar Gods", 32-year old Atlanta-native Kaki King has become one of the most sought after guitarists in music scene today. From her humble beginnings as a NYC subway busker to writer and performer on the Golden Globe winning soundtrack of Into the Wild, King never fails to impress the most ardent of guitar enthusiasts. King will be performing solo at the New Earth Music Lounge this Friday, November 18. While acts at New Earth tend to be dubious at best, this is definitely a performance that is not to be missed. For those that may need a taste before the feast, a video of a live performance may be found here.
