Clarke Central Renovation Kicks Off With Ribbon Cutting

The event begins Monday at 9 a.m. at the school, located at 350 South Milledge Avenue.

A public ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned March 31 at Clarke Central High School to kick off its renovation project.

Highlights of the plan, according to a school system press release, are:
  • Renovation of the West Wing, including classroom size expansions and construction of classroom/lab combination spaces
  • Complete renovation of the original building (East Wing)
  • Creation of new, centrally located Media Center
  • Athletic facilities renovations including the Old Gym, locker rooms, weight room/wrestling room and football field drainage
  • Expansion of the Auto Shop Building to accommodate ROTC
  • Renovations to provide for an administrative and counseling wing, which will also result in a redirected and more accessible front entrance to the school
  • Complete electrical, mechanical and data systems renewal
  • All funding is from SPLOST
