CASA Volunteer Orientation

Find out how you can speak up for an abused or neglected child in our community! Athens-Oconee CASA, a local nonprofit, is recruiting community volunteers to act as legal advocates for abused and neglected children.  The organization trains and equips a volunteer to become a spokesperson and advocate for the best interest of a child who has been mistreated. A child who has CASA representation is only half as likely to remain in the foster system, and more likely to be placed in a permanent home where he or she can grow, develop, and flourish.

The Orientation will cover the role of a CASA volunteer, the nature of training, and answer any questions you may have.
