Commercial Compost Facility Tour: International Compost Awareness Week

A tour of the commercial compost facility located at the Athens-Clarke County landfill will be held in conjunction with International Compost Awareness Week (ICAW) in Georgia. With a growing interest in composting, recycling and reducing the environmental impact of doing business, commercial composting operations have expanded in Georgia and around the country. Athens now has a facility to capture materials for composting at the ACC Landfill. For individuals or businesses that have interest are encouraged to tour the new Commercial Compost facility.
