Perennial Symposium 2012: Plants from Around the World in our Everyday Lives: Ornamentals, Foods, Drinks & Medicines

Spend a day discovering the origin of plants that you see in Georgia’s landscapes, consume at the dinner table or use for medicine in this day-long trek into plants from around the world.  Stories of plant explorers, political intrigue and adventure will be woven into the presentations!  Presenters include Wilf Nichols, State Botanical Garden Director, Donglin Zhang, UGA Horticulture Department, and others. As with past perennial symposia, you will leave with a list of plants to integrate into your home landscape and will be more informed about plants you see and consume every day.  This program serves as an Elective for the Certificate in Native Plants. Preregistration required.
