Workshop for Emerging Authors with Renea Winchester

Award-winning author Renea Winchester will visit Avid Bookshop on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 6:15 pm to lead a workshop specifically for aspiring and emerging authors. The cost of this workshop is $ 40.00.

Included in the workshop is a copy of her book titled: Stress-free Marketing: Practical Advice for the Newly Published Author. Participants to the workshop will also receive a user name and password for a blog she has created specifically for workshop participants. This blog will develop a community of writers whose purpose is to assist aspiring and emerging authors, and expand their target audience.

Renea will speak about the importance of name recognition; how to launch your book; how to get your work into the hands of readers and much more. 

Renea Winchester is the 2012 Atlanta Pen Women Author of the year. Her short stories have received multiple awards. Her book, In the Garden with Billy: Lessons about Life, Love & Tomatoes was nominated for the Georgia Writer of the Year, and a Southern Independent Bookseller Alliance nomination. She is currently writing In the Kitchen with Billy.

She writes about the importance of community and relationships.

Regarding seating at Avid events: As we are a tiny little bookshop, we have mostly stools without backs. You are encouraged to bring folding chairs of your own as well as a clipboard or other material to lean on since we don't have desks.
