The Classic City Rollergirls go up against other Southeast teams.

The Classic City Rollergirls announced Friday plans to host their 2014 season bouts at The Classic Center.

After a sold-out season and continued growth in the league’s fan base, this move to The Classic Center will allow for larger capacity at bouts as well as downtown Athens convenience for attendees.

“We are excited to offer our fans the comforts of The Classic Center and all of the attractions of downtown on bout day,” said Stevie Hretz, Classic City Rollergirls’ skater and league president. “The Classic Center’s commitment to charity and to improving our community is very much in line with our mission and makes for a promising partnership moving forward.”

The Classic City Rollergirls will have their Classic Center debut in January 2014 as they kick off the season with their second annual Green and Black intraleague bout.
