In case you were wondering, pickleball is a combination of Ping-Pong, tennis, and badminton and can be played with two or four players. It is played on a badminton-sized court, using a wooden racquet/paddle and a Wiffle ball.
Now that you know what it is, you have a chance to develop and/or perfect your pickleball abilities.
The Athens-Clarke County Department of
Leisure Services will offer Adult Pickleball League and Senior Adult
Pickleball programs at Lay Park on Wednesdays, starting September 4.
The Senior Adult League is scheduled for 10:00 am with the Adult League program at 6:30 pm.
This is a “learn as you play” league
so lessons or previous playing experience are not required to join.
