SEC Dad Is Speechless Over BCS Title Game Ticket

A widely viewed YouTube video captures the Christmas joy over a trip to watch the Crimson Tide play Notre Dame.

UGA fans can't go to the national title game this year, but some might still find a place in their hearts to be happy for this guy.

An Alabama dad and Crimson Tide fan had plenty of Christmas cheer, and a widely viewed YouTube video captured the moment.

Don Buckhannan of Boaz, Ala., already was plenty pleased when he got a fedora like iconic Alabama football coach Bear Bryant used to wear. But when Buckhannan was prompted to look inside the hat, he found the real prize -- a ticket to watch his beloved Crimson Tide play Notre Dame for the BCS championship on January 7, 2013.

Overwhelmed with happiness, his reactions included, "Hot Diggity Dog."

The ticket and hat were gifts from Buckhannan's son, Daniel Buckhannan of Oxford, Ala., who posted the video to YouTube.

"We going to the game, Pop! We going to the game!", says Daniel Buckhannan on the video, which already has more than 4 million views since being posted on December 23.

According to al.com, "Dad said he told me on the day I was born how much fun we would have together watching Alabama football," Buckhannan said. "Although we have been season ticket holders for almost 20 years, weΒ have never been to an Alabama bowl game, so yes, this is very special to both of us."

Obviously, that's a valuable ticket. As of December 27 on Stubhub.com, the cheapest ticket for the Alabama-Notre Dame game in Miami was going for $941.
