UGA Player Charged with 'Double Dipping' With Tuition Checks Decides to Transfer

Uriah LeMay is the sixth Bulldog to announce he'll transfer this year.

A University of Georgia football player arrested in March for illegal cash-checking will transfer to another program, the school said in a statement.

Uriah LeMay, a redshirt in 2013, was one of four Bulldogs players charges with misdemeanors for allegedly cashing or depositing regular student stipend checks twice. UGA Police Chief Jimmy Williamson said the players were “basically double-dipping.”

Tray Matthews, Jonathan Taylor and James DeLoach were also arrested and charged.

LeMay, from Matthews, N.C., is the sixth Georgia player to transfer during the off-season, according to the Athens Banner-Herald.

Coach Mark Richt said in a statement that LeMay's decision was related to playing time.
