Investiture of UGA President Jere Morehead
Hugh Hodgson Concert Hall
Performing Arts Center
An investiture is a ceremony in which the leader of an institution is vested with the garments, insignia or ornaments signifying the authority of the office. President Morehead is the 22nd president of UGA. A reception will follow the ceremony.

West Broad Farmers Market--Produce Stand
The market features craft, produce and prepared food vendors and is held at the old West Broad school/ Rutland Academy.

Handmade Jewelry and Metal Art Sale
Members of the Athens Metal Arts Guild will be selling their work at the Lyndon House Arts Center. Rare opportunity to purchase handmade jewelry and metal art by nationally acclaimed metal artists.

There's a public hearing to discuss a fare increase for Athens Transit. The meeting will be held at the Multi Modal Transit Center.

UGA Professor Emeritus Donald E. Wilkes, Jr. Wilkes, who has authored scholarly publications about this event, will discuss some of the circumstances he has researched, the facts we know today, and some yet unanswered questions. The lecture will take place in the library's Appleton Auditorium.
