It's Halloween All Week Long in Athens

Halloween is a multi-day celebration in Athens, starting with the Wild Rumpus.

On Monday, at 6:30pm, you can come to a Halloween Party at the East Athens Community Center on McKinley Drive. Contests, games, face painting and family fun for all!

There's also a party at the Athens Clarke County Library on Monday at 7pm, beginning with a shadow puppet show. Children may wear their Halloween costumes and wander the first floor children's section, collecting treats they can't eat.

On Tuesday, October 29, there's the Memorial Park Halloween Carnival with stories, games and activities, including a stroll through the zoo. Things get underway at 5pm.

Also on Tuesday, the supporters of the Nancy Travis Childcare project are hosting a Monster Bash at Cine at 5pm. Heidi Hensley's band is playing so it should be great.

There's Scary Movie Night at the ACC Library on Tuesday, beginning at 5:30pm. Popcorn and treats will be available. The movie is suitable for children 11 to 18, as well as adults. For more information, 706 613- 3650 x. 329.

At Lay Park on Wednesday, there's a Halloween "Spooktacular" Carnival, starting at 6pm. It's for children 5 to 12 years old, with a $3 per child fee.

And on Thursday, it's Halloween!
