Art and Music in the Athens Area this Weekend
After Christmas is a low-key time in the Athens area….
On Saturday, December 28th, the UGA Women's Basketball Team takes on the University of Illinois at 4pm. For tickets, click here.
On Friday, December 27th, the Grains of Sand play at the Melting Point.
If you're a coffee drinker, an exhibit at Hendershot's is not to be missed: Coffee--It's an Experience! by local artist Rene Shoemaker. Come and marvel at Rene's linoleum prints on paper.
Bloodkin and Friends play the Georgia Theatre on Friday, December 27th. The cover is $10 and the show starts at 8pm.
The Green Flag Band plays (for free!) at Hendershot's on Friday, December 27th, beginning at 8pm. Settle in and enjoy the music. And the art! On Saturday, Patton and Nelson play at 8pm, with a $5 cover.
