Five Points Deli gives visitors an old-fashioned, home-town feeling, from the time you walk in and see the black-and-white tile floor and the Coca-Cola paraphernalia to the time you leave with a belly full of homemade chicken salad and sweet tea. Located in Athens' historic 5 Points neighborhood, it has been open under its present owner, Richard Lane, for 19 years. Everything here is made from scratch and they are famous for their hot soups, sandwiches, take-home casseroles and scrumptious desert bars. They are also open for breakfast, serving Illy brand espresso. Customers can call in orders for take-out or have the deli cater their next party or family gathering. The large dining room has ample seating and there are several tables outside.
