The 33-acre Julius F. Bishop Park was named for a former city of Athens mayor. Bishop Park is the in-town location for Fourth of July fireworks as well as the home of the Athens Clarke Gymnastics Academy, Tennis for Life and the Athens Farmers Market. Bishop Park has basketball courts, athletic fields and a lovely pool that is home to the Athens Clarke County Dolphins Swim Team.

  • Hours: Mon - Thu, 8am - 9pm; Fri, 8am - 6pm; Sat, 9am - 6pm; Sun, noon - 6pm; holidays, 10am - 9pm.
