The 33-acre Julius F. Bishop Park was named for a former city of Athens mayor. Bishop Park is the in-town location for Fourth of July fireworks as well as the home of the <a href="http://ga-athensclarkecounty.civicplus.com/index.aspx?NID=595">Athens Clarke Gymnastics Academy</a>, <a href="http://www.tennisforlife.net/">Tennis for Life</a> and the <a href="http://athensfarmersmarket.net/">Athens Farmers Market</a>. Bishop Park has basketball courts, athletic fields and a lovely pool that is home to the <a href="http://www.accdolphins.org/">Athens Clarke County Dolphins Swim Team</a>.
