100% Were impressed
What is missing from this bar is not automatically obvious because there are so many unusal aspects about this gathering spot.  The wooden booths are large, wide, and with close to 6 feet high backs.  There is a coffee shop, not owned by Trappeze, smack dab in the middle of the restaraunt.  A walk from one end of the bar to the other sections you go through 1000 Vases whose smell of wonderfully fresh coffee beans is powerful.  There is also another entity to Trappeze called Highwire.  This is a more clublike atmosphere with live band and dancing.  Highwire is owned by the owners of Trappeze.  Trappeze sells no domestic beers other than one made right in Athens.  All others are foreign beers, mostly German.  Food offerings include Artisan sandwiches, specialty cheeses, burgers, and fish and chips.  What is missing from this bar that likes to think of itself as a traditional bar?  A television.  Says the manager of Trappeze, "People come here to concentrate on their food and drink and their company."
