Studio Group Turns 30
Members celebrate decades of shared creative energy, on display at the Lyndon House Arts Center.
Though still contending with the struggles faced by most artists, founding members of The Studio Group convey a shared enthusiasm for the three decades they’ve spent together – throwing around ideas and perspectives, creating and exhibiting their beautiful works. This Sunday afternoon marks the opening of the 30th anniversary exhibition by the multi-talented collective, set to run at the Lyndon House Arts Center through the end of July. Formed in the summer of 1981 primarily to facilitate the exhibition and promotion of its members’ creations, The Studio Group has given those members much more than they bargained for. just a note... somehow, Nancy Carter's name was not mentioned as one of the exhibiting members. I am not speaking for the group, but Nancy was, I believe, another founding member, and her work at the current exhibition, is soulfully beautiful!   more ›
