When possible, support your local businesses on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday.
Feeling a little hungry after all that shopping? Head to Agora on Friday afternoon. In addition to great deals and discounts, they will be hosting a Black Friday Party, with champagne and cookies, from 2 to 5pm on Friday. Also on Clayton Street, at Native America Gallery, Santa will be stopping from 10am until 7pm and hearing what's on the minds of children of all ages. So while Santa is getting the toy list straightened out, you can wander around the store, making your own wish list. Be sure to ask for the "made in America" jewelry, which will knock your Crocs off. Across the street at Heery's Clothes Closet, Vera Bradley handbags are going for half price from 9:30am until noon on Friday morning. Get yourself a colorful bag on Black …

When it comes to clothing, what are their sizes, favorite colors and most complementary styles? (It's not a good idea to get a caftan for someone who should be wearing straight lines.) 3. When it …

Shoppers can shop for deals in the wee hours of the night.
Local shopper Jacki Gaytan knows first hand what shopping at a Black Friday sale feels like. She braved the crowds last year to shop at Toys R Us and experienced the insanity first hand. When she arrived at the store at midnight on Thanksgiving, the line to get into the store wrapped around the building. "As I started walking towards the building I grabbed a shopping cart, I did not know at the time how lucky I was to have acquired a cart until people started offering me money for it," said Gaytan. "An hour and half later I entered the glory land." She pushed through the crowds in search of sale items and sntached up video games and various toys on her shopping list. "It was a crazy mad house in there," Gaytan shared "I felt like I was in …
