Controversial State Sen. Chip Rogers to Step Down

Rogers recently also decided not to seek re-election as senate majority leader.

State Sen. Chip Rogers, who came under scrutiny recently for hosting an ex-Tea Partier's lengthy session linking public-private partnerships, local chambers of commerce and a United Nations project called Agenda 21, has resigned his seat, Woodstock Patch reports. Rogers, 44, said in a statement he plans to accept a position with Georgia Public Broadcasting. "The opportunity to help lead Georgia Public Broadcasting is like a dream come true in many respects," he said. GPB is launching a new initiative in which it will "facilitate coverage of economic development and jobs in Georgia," according to a press release from Rogers' office. Georgia Senators Hear Obama Mind-Control Theory

The session, organized by Senate Majority Leader Chip Rogers, was recorded by Athens-based Better Georgia.

Are public-private partnerships secretly evil? Are chambers of commerce conspiring with President Obama and the United Nations to destroy the American way of life? Is a mind-control technique known as Delphi being used to brainwash American citizens? These were arguments presented to Republican state senators last month in a session organized by Sen. Chip Rogers, who is now the outgoing Senate majority leader for Georgia. Fifty-two minutes of the session (see embedded video) were recorded by a volunteer for the Athens-based Better Georgia organization.
