Judgment Day .... or Marigold Festival?

Some Evangelical Christians believe the end of the world will come on May 21.

They’ve stopped cleaning the house, working in the yard, gassing up the car, going to work. Such temporal issues don’t matter when you’re expecting Judgment Day on Saturday. Evangelical preacher Harold Camping, founder of the $100 million Family Radio, a Christian network based in Oakland, California, has been sounding the alarm since 2009. Believers will be raptured, he says, taken up to Heaven, while non-believers will be cast into outer darkness. Camping says he has discerned Biblical evidence for his announcements. He also predicted the world’s end in 1994, but now says that wasn’t as well-supported as this assertion is.
