Crime Blotter--Man Shot and Killed in Athens, Ga.

Officers responded to a complaint of gunshots on Pinehurst Court, off Tallassee Road, around 3am on April 4. Upon arrival, they found the body of a male, later identified as 23-year old Travis Sankwon Callaway of Athens, on the ground at the edge of a breezeway. Investigation revealed he died from a gunshot wound. A possible suspect was taken into custody and, after questioning, released. No charges were filed at this time. The investigation continues.
