Joan Stroer White, Neighbor

Joan Stroer White is a freelance writer and editor who grew up in Athens and lives and works in neighboring Oconee County. A former staff writer for The Athens Banner-Herald as well as a contributer to Flagpole Magazine, she most recently worked editing copy for Athens-based Interview You publishers. She graduated from Emory University and studied journalism at UGA's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. She enjoys reading, gardening, kayaking and tending chickens.
