An Athens native, I'm retired and have been living here since 1999. As a wandering amateur columnist, I've been a sometime contributer at Flagpole and the Athens Banner Herald since 2008. In 2012 the Georgia Press Association  awarded me 2nd place in the Serious Column category for my Banner Herald work.
