Journalism has always been my destined path and I came across this realization my sophomore year in high school. As the Features editor, columnist writer and layout designer for the Blue and Gold, Chamblee High School's monthly newspaper, I understood that reporting and delivering news is what I do best. It is because of this, that I decided to dual major in Publication Management and Consumer Journalism upon attending The University of Georgia,.

When I'm not in the halls of Grady, Terry or the Family and Consumer Science College hallways, you can find me fulfilling my roles as the Editor-in-Chief of infUSion magazine, UGA's first multicultural publication, or as the Editor-in-Chief of my own magazine, The Showcase, a publication I began as a creative outlet for the National Association of Black Journalists.

I was born in Ethiopia, lived in Manchester, England for eight years and later moved to the states in 2000. I'm a 19-year-old rising senior with plenty of time ahead of me to continue my journalistic endeavors, with one them being a contributing writer for Athens Patch!
