Americorps Looking for a Community Service Specialist

• 12 Month Experience
• 14 Years Education
• Must Have Valid Class C Drivers License

Preferred Skills Experience leading educational programs for youth and basic knowledge of the 4-H Program.
Job Description: Work includes direct service in the community and involves the tasks necessary in planning, developing and directing educational programs. This employee must exhibit qualities of independent judgment. Work is performed under general supervision of the County Extension Agent and AmeriCorps Director and Coordinator.
The AmeriCorps member must also comply with AmeriCorps requirements for monthly webinars and must clock 1,700 hours of service to qualify for the $5,500 AmeriCorps Educational Award. Driving, light lifting, occasional work outdoors in adverse climate.
In order to serve in this position applicants must be prepared to provide copies of the following documents: Proof of Citizenship, Social Security Card, Government Issued I.D. federal Tax Form, State Tax Form, High School Diploma, AmeriCorps Member Agreement, and FBI Fingerprint Check.
You must possess a valid driver's license to be considered for this position. Plan, develop, and deliver educational programs, clubs, and events that align with the AmeriCorps program objectives. Engage volunteer leaders by providing them with training, program ideas, and coordinate the county volunteer registration database. Resource Development and tracks and documents all data related to AmeriCorps performance measures and monthly reports to the Ameri Corps State Program Coordinator.
