Peeping Tom Seems to Have Returned to Westside

The information in this story comes from the ACC Police Department. An arrest isn't the same as a conviction.

It seems that the same man who has been plaguing the Westchester Drive area with peeping tom has returned.

A woman in the Westchester area met with an Athens Clarke County Police officer on October 7 around 1:15pm to report that she had seen a tall, think black man looking in the front window of her home on October 3 around 8:30pm. The 46-year-old victim said she yelled at the man and he ran away.

Later that night, she was awakened by someone knocking on her front door. She looked through the closed blinds and saw the same man standing at her door. When he saw her, he backed away. He said something but she did not understand what he said. He ran down the stairwell and left in an unknown direction.

He was approximately 6 feet tall, with a very thin face, no facial hair, and no distinctive marks or tattoos. He wore either black or dark blue clothing.
